About Nelson Hardwood Floors

Gary & his son Jake have been in service to the Colorado community for 30 years, specializing in hardwood flooring refinishing, restoration & installation. Although the name “& sons” is missing, Nelson Hardwood Flooring rebranded to make it a family business own business in 2020.

As an avid skier, Gary started refinishing hardwood floors in Summit County Colorado in the late 1980s, primarily sub-contracting new construction builds in Breckenridge. He is now passed his expertise on to his son, an avid snowboarder, who has taken the reins and run with it.

Jake has brought new hardwood refinishing and installation techniques to the company. Whether its focusing on the things that matter to customers like natural non-toxic finishes, or soundproofing underlayments, the team does efficient work with superior products.

Our Services

Over the 30 years they have expanded beyond hardwood refinishing to include a variety of flooring services such as re-polishing & cleaning solutions.
